I'm wondering if all seat covers need to be stappled on or if some are slip on type like an automobile style? Is it a pain to staple one on? Do you have to take the original one off? Who offers the best for the dollar?
They all have to be stapled as far as I know. A regular staple gun is kinda a pain; an air staple gun is the easiest way to go. Especially on something like a Yamaha seat that has a lot of funky grooves and it's hard to get the staples in there good. If you don't wanna mess with the staples, One Industries sells complete seats for $100 that come with the gripper seat cover already mounted. No hassle.
Ditto what Nikki said, def if you are considering a taller seat, by the time to get the tall foam and new cover, you are nearly spending as much as a complete seat.
