I have an 01 rm250 that has developed shifting problems. Lately whenever I'm riding it hard at the track the bike won't shift out of 1st. I'm usually o.k. if i stay in the upper gears, but as soon as I hit 1st after the bike has been running for a while, I can't upshift or even hit neutral. My oil level is good, but I plan on changing it before I go riding again to see if that helps (I use maxima 85). Every time it's done this I've ridden it off the track and parked it, and after sitting for a while, the problem goes away. Hopefully someone has encountered this before.
