i just bought a 07 kawasaki kx250f and couldnt be happier! But i was wondering if i should change the springs? I weigh about 150 and the bike will be used for mostly outdoor motocross with the occasional supercross. could i compensate for this just with adjusting dampining on the forks or what?

Springs do help, but play with your compression settings first. you are about the right weight for what Kawi designed the bike for.
If you are an aggressive rider like AA or Pro, then you will most likely need to be re-valved and re-sprung. But for starters it is good to take baby steps and talk with some Pro tuners like Jeremey Wiley at MX-Tech.
