What tools do you bring when your trail riding?
I ride a YZ85 and to all you 2-stroke riders...
what tools do you bring [be specific] to fix up problems.
All I got jotted down ATM is spark plugs and tools for spark plug
removal and installation. Do I need anything else?[Excluding water and food?]

2 cresent wrenches, mixed gas, gear oil, extra chain, hacksaw just incase the chain splits on one side and you need to get it off, hammer, and screwdrivers. oh, and some chain lube. you might take some metric sockets with you. and a pair of pliers

And make sure you put that spare plug in some kind of carrier so when you go to use it the electrode isnt smashed.

I would typically avoid a tire/tube patch kit by using extra HD tubes with Slime. On the off chance I got a flat I had a handful of cable ties to fasten the tire to the rim as well as other fixes like attaching plastic, loose grips, etc... So pretty much a plug wrench and a plug or two, a multi-tool and adjustable wrench.... with me on the bike. In the trailer I'd have pretty much anything I could possibly need short of being able to split the cases or rebuild the suspension.

just think of it this way, Mr. x!treme guy:

It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

mechanic's wire or a master link. And hope you're not too far away.

(I've seen it done with barbed wire, but I don't recommend it)

Many moons ago I carried a spare master link on my throttle cable, dont remember ever using it. Jeff Fredette makes a neat combo wrench that is specific to your bike, check it out at Fredette Racing Products.
