Great story, my wife and I had a similar situation. Her grandmother died and her 80 year old Grandfather, who was very heartbroken, asked my wife and I if we would move into the house to keep him company. This was shortly before we were to be married we thought his declining health may be too much for us to handle. We lived with him for another 8 years until he passed away. His health started to improve shortly after we moved in and he actually ended up joining me on a few of the Baja races, old granddad was a true party animal. I truly belive in Karma and your situation is proof. :cool:
