Spider decided to try Ice racing

Blndbomber needed a partner for a 3hr endurance race next weekend and she talked Spider into trying out Ice riding. She and her 13 yr old daughter set about teaching him how to ride on Ice yesterday and after about 2 hours he was getting the hang of it. Should be interesting how he does when the likes of Jeff Fredette are blasting past him on race day

Given the fact they are turning right they run road courses down there? Most of our races here are ovals. How'd he like a 125 again after all these years of 450's?

they have both road courses and an Oval out on this lake but the race he is doing will be about a 4 to 5 mile road course. Once he got over the feeling that the bike should be sliding out at those speeds he loved it. It took him a while to relearn riding a 125 but once he was keeping it wound out he really liked the way he could throw it around. He is lobbying strongly for some jumps to be added to the course tho to make it interesting

here he was on the oval learning he could stay on the gas way into the corner

yes she is. it is her bike 996 that Spider and Tammy are racing next Sunday. Sierra is getting faster on dirt (MX) but really shows her speed on ice

She makes 3 on their team- 4 is the max allowed

Mike is riding his 250 in the midweight class with 2 other guys
tammy, sierra and eric are in the light weight class on the 125

As an update the race was cancelled (and rescheduled to February 21) because of RAIN. The weekend it was supposed to be they got over an inch of rain and with the plowed coarse (5.8 miles long) all the water sat between the snowbanks leaving standing water about 3 inches deep. At least he is going to get a bit more seat time practicing before the race
