splitting cases...what else to look for while inside? 04 crf250

I recently got an 04 crf250r for an incredible price. One of the reasons it was so cheap is because the right side case has a crack in it, this happened from a gear (i believe the little one behind the water pump area) broke apart and wedged itself into the bigger one behind it. anyways my question is, while i have it apart, is there anything i should replace just because im already in there or anything to keep my eyes open for? This bike was raced by my buddy at intermediate level, so it has been used, but has been sitting for 2 years.

Any other advice on this bike would be greatly appreciated im basically servicing it from the ground up.

As long as you have it apart put a crank in it. You'll be glad you did. ;)

Thx for the replies! i will post in the 4-stroke section and i found a brand new crank on ebay so ima keep my eye on that!
