hey all i seized my motor last weekend. got it all torn apart. the rear skirt on the piston is shattered and the front has 2 chunks missing. turns out my crank is bent and looks like it has been bent for a while judging by a wear mark on my flywheel. i was just wondering if there was any way i could split the case and buy a tool to press in the new crank?? and then press the cases back together?! all help is appreciated.. the cheapest shop around here will charge at least $400 for just labor. so i was just seeing if there was a way to save some money! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Scroll down to about half way to "Bottom End Rebuild", parts 1,2 & 3.

Personally, I used a harmonic balancer puller to split my cases (Sears, $20)

To assemble the halves I put the crank in the freezer, then lightly heated the flywheel side main bearing, it dropped right in. For the right side I used a BMX peg, it butts perfectly against the inner bearing race. A few washers on top and a bolt to pull it together.
