The Goat's right, lots closer to DW. I'm in my boat on the beach every weekend!

I'm hoping this won't affect our Reno trip. It's possible TTRGuy may be in St. Louis already but I think I will probably still be here. If he can't fly out for the trip, I'll probably still go. I'm sure I could find someone to car pool with although it sure would be a crappy way to spend Valentines day if Eddie can't go. :( We'll have to play it by ear for now.

LOL I just love Speedy's vision of St Louis. Some kind of artic tundra. I'd dream of their winters! I went riding in March when it was 65 there!

How often do you get snow Dhoward? I know its alot rarer than us.

I have stories of ESL. Took a wrong turn there years ago. I was seriously scared!!!:scream:

Then there was my bachelor party after the St Louis SX. That was a better experience :) :)

Snows maybe 3 times a year. Paralyzes the city for a day. All gone in a week.
Gets a little icy sometimes, just sleep in an extra hour!
Gets a little warm and humid in the summer though, 'course if Speedy's wearin' them thar saharas.....
:)

East St.Louis is out. My inlaws just moved to St. Louis. Neet town. Like everywhare else, there is good and bad. They just bought a house on the NW side right on Forest Park. Thisis a park on the scale of Central Park in NY. nice old houses.

But if TTRGuy doesn't mind a bit of a drive, I know a beautiful house in Benton IL. It is aprox 1.5-2hr drive east of the City. check out the first listing: http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/Hom...mitm=n/a&exft=ioldhome&exft=epool&poe=realtor

Sorry adm's in advance if this is a no-no.

Uhhhh..... TS....Nevermind! Hehehe - Some of you guys are way too funny. Thanks for the info and keep it coming. Probably wont 'buy' a house right away but after we get to know the areas it will be an option. A lot of places its actually cheaper to buy anyway. Plus I can work on the track and trails if I own the land. :)

oabike, if you're serious, I'll let ya know. It's an awesome place. Not exactly a bike ride for you to work though. ;) Down hill would be fun but going home would be a nightmare!! For me at least. ;)
I know how it is in SB. You gotta swoop in when you can on the good deals.

Don't rule out Illinois. My uncle lives in near Alton, about 30 minutes north of downtown St. Louis, and there is nice property with some hills, creeks, etc...

East St. Louis has some of the country's finest Gentlemens Clubs. I seen McGrath and Button at one of them after one of the SX races.

East STL-Remember the scene from Vacation where they were lost? It is like that only without the comedy.

Blue Thunder's Barn comment-All I can say is this. I heard that they found a new use for sheep north of the river........wool!

Missouri weather-Don't like it, wait five minutes, it will change.

Let us know when you guys get all settled in. There is a great riding area (Finger Lakes) that is schmack dab in between Kc and STL.

Perks about living in STL-Touring the brewery once a week. Sure, it is a boring tour, but at the end........FREE BEER!!!!
