While You Californians were freezing your behinds off with that 60 degree weather here is what we did Sunday. At the start time 12 noon it was -3 (by race end 3 hours later it got up to +7 :) ). 68 teams showed up with max number on a team of 4 riders (most ran with 3) and 2 guys went ironman all alone.
The track was 3.4 miles and got extremely rough by the halfway point. Many teams lost their rear ice fender and got flagged in until repairs were made- I know one team that went thru 4 fenders.
