i like riding a 220 except that it has too much bottom and not enough rev.. would i be better off getting a stock 200 or getting a 220 with a rev pipe and extra tooth on front sprocket? thanks.

I went with the 220 and just got the rev pipe on Saturday, but infortunatly we got 5 inches of snow the day I got it. It's a lot louder, but can't figure out the power yet, obviously because of the snow. Looks and sounds great so far and the low end is there, just haven't been able to test the high end. Based on reviews, its the way to go b/c you'll get the best of both worlds.

200's rev out more. Bigger carb stock and different port timing. A kg 30 pipe or PC pipe really helps a 220 though.

I have a 220 and I put the Desert rev on it and it really opened it up alot. I do a lot of tight or single track and good size hills so I even went 2 higher on the rear. I like it and my buddy who rides a KTM 400 says he never rode a KDX that had that much torque without the clutching it all the time.

I like the 200 with the rev myself. I've raced my 99 200 for about 3 years now with the rev pipe. I have also raced a friends 2001 220 with the rev pipe twice. I've found that my 200 forces me to ride on the pipe, while the 220 does not. The 220 seems to 'forgive' less aggresive riding in teqnical situations, while the 200 demands it. My modified 200 likes to be ridden more like a 125MXer, while my friend's modified 220 feels like a stock 200 with a little more top end.
