Normally I would just let this go, and I've yet to flame another rider ( even quad'ers), but...Today I witnessed two "people" riding what appeared to be a mini-bike downtown Muskegon, MI. In MI you can ride scooters without a MC endorsement, and I'm all for saving gas so that's ok I guess. This thing they were on sure didn't look like a scooter - more like a briggs & stratton job with two huge headlights. A guy and girl riding two up, probably late 40's, no helmets, and no shoes. The shallow end of the gene pool dried up for them apparently. Sure wish I had my camera.

The two up thing just scares me, especially without any type of protection.
There is this lady who is rather large, has a yellow scooter w/stickers (most purchased at my store) all over it. One says "biker chick" and her helmet is plastered with them. She has millions of small tattoos on her arms. Anyway, she rides it with a
MUMU!!! With sweatpants and flip flops...it's pretty much awesome!

This can be a very Dutch area though and there are lots of Dutch people that live here. There is even a windmill that they brought over from the Netherlands a long time ago.
Ever hear of the Tulip Time Festival? A week full of Dutchness. Stupid Tulips all through downtown, people in wooden shoes and Dutch costumes. People come from all over the country to check out it out. It's even been featured in the Rand McNally atlas.

Next time somebody come to you looking for parts for their generic Chinese scooter suggest they go to the original dealer for parts :) Of course that might have been somebody at a flea market or Ebay but that's not YOUR problem they were the one that svaed all that money. :laugh:

My neighborhood is directly off of a main road. When Rooster and I sit out on our back patio at night all we hear are morons FLYING up and down that road on crotch rockets. We're waiting for the day we hear them smack into someone - Rhode Island drivers have this terrible habit of sticking the nose of their car into the middle of the road so that they can get onto the road and there are loads of side streets off of this main road. It's not going to be pretty when it happens...

This guy was wearing shorts. Old school gym shorts, not even denim. NO shirt. NONE AT ALL! Sandals. Woman on the back, short shorts and a spagetti string top. Didnt get to see what the lady was wearing on her feet.

My school had that day a couple years ago in Remus, Mi. Now they don't allow it.
I think one of the funniest things I've seen, was actually a reverse kind of situation. When I was a kid, my riding buddies and I would spend our days at a local stripmine. We had a couple small tracks laid out and there were hillclimbs out the ying-yang, as well as woods trails. There was a gas station just down the road, we frequented for gas and food. Across the road, lived this older guy...he and his buddies were true redneck stereotypes (so were their kids) and all had street bikes. They were usually gathered on the front porch, drinking beer when we stopped for gas.
Now and then, we'd be riding on the track and hear something strange, coming from behind. We'd look back and see one or more of these old guys....drunk to the gills, nothing but T-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes and riding Sportsters, Honda CB750s, Kaw 900s, Bonnevilles, etc. Most of 'em were full-dress, with fairings, saddlebags, windshield (usually the first to go) and such. It was hilarious but I gotta' give the ol' coots credit....they could almost keep up! They usually came in groups of 4 or more and would get into racing each other, as well as us kids on "them rice-burners". They'd often limp out with themselves and their bikes in pretty bad shape but sooner or later, they'd be back. :laugh:
