The sub tanks seem to make a little less dramatic affect on twin chamber froks than the older cartridge units .

That is very true. It's because now they are not eliminating the oil cavitation that the tanks were originally designed for, the twin chamber design did that. We are not using the subtank for which it was originally intended. But, they do help in alot of other ways as Jeremy pointed out, kind of a happy accident. And having a way to basically tune the affect of oil height, that has a speed sensitive self adjustment all in one.
