Sunrise/Sunset and sky info

I really like taking pictures at sunrise and sunset, and I've been trying to get some decent shots of the moon. Here's a couple of software tools I've been using to increase my chances of being prepared for the killer shot.

MoonMenu - To calculate the cureent phase of the moon as well as sunrise /sunset times http://66.39.123.106/products/moonmenu/index.htm (Bob - they even have a Mac version :cool: )

The software called Ephemeris is used to calculate the moon phases based on your geographic location and runs on Windows PDAs. There is also a DOF calculator and exposure calculator. All 3 programs are free and were written by Jonathan Sachs, the programmer that gave us Lotus 1-2-3. I use them all and the PDA format lets me take them into the field when I choose not to drag my laptop with me. :cool:

Thanks Rick. I'm familiar with John Sachs, his image software Picture Window Pro is a great alternative to PhotoShop. http://www.dl-c.com

The digital imaging tech info that he provides on the the Dl-C site is worth the trip there even for the PS faithful.
