Tech 8 Boot Question & Help

I have a very high instep and a little bit wide foot. After trying several boots, the Tech 8 seemed to fit the best, but.... I can only wear thin shocks and had to replace the foot pads with a thinner ones. Can anyone suggest a good "Thin" MX sock or any other modification to help these boots fit better.

How long have you worn them? My Tech 8s loosened up some after they got wet a few times and broke in some

I wore them for only five minutes. Get them wet, ok, when my wife goes out with the kids I will stand in the tub filled with water. No kiddding! I only get to ride a few times a year, so maybe I will get them good and wet and walk around the garage. I did hear they losen up after they get wet but I was not sure on that one, I guess it's true. God, I wish I had normal feet. Thanks!
