Well today I woke up and loaded the bikes and my roomate and we headed out to Shady Grove. In Dallas, TX.
I havent rode more than an hour since I was 15 and back then it was an xr 80 or a 125 in fields.
Never been on a motocross track. My roomate had never rode a 2 stroke or in dirt.
I woke up thinking I would have some fun and get some air. Heck the guys on tv make it look so easy. Wrong! haha
Being a week day and all I figured noone would be there and I could emarass myslef in privacy. There were 4 people out there all good riders. They were super nice and pretty good riders. I watched them and thought wow I gotta try that!
Well i got a little air(maybe a foot) but the bike kept wanting to nosedive. I need to really learn how to corner and I need to rejet the yz.
We both crashed. He went into a bush on the tabletop, and I ate it on the bigger hill. I was in the air the bike nosedived the front tire hit sand and off I went. Sucks trying to pick the bike up and restart on a hill.
My roomate down the wrong side of the tabletop. Hit a bush and went over. At 5'4 he had a hard time getting the bike up and restarted but he got it done>
Both got a few scratches and I was wrong about how much fun I would have. I thought I would have a good time.
I had the BEST TIME. First crashes out of the way.
Cant wait to go back. Gonna go try some trails on Friday.
Take care and thanks for all the help. If I had not spent time learning from reading your posts I would not have had so much fun!
Ha ha, you're hooked! It's all over now - you'll be drooling every time you drive past a field, dreaming of how you could make a jump here, a turn there. Give up everything else in your life, sniff premix for breakfast, take 2 airfilters with meals and tell us all about it us every Monday morning.
