I had the patellar graft and almost everybody I know has had the patellar graft. I got the same story about it being the 'gold standard'. My biggest complaint about the patellar graft is that I can not kneel down on my left knee w/o a hard shell knee pad. It just feels way too weird - it's not painfu,l just not comfortable. People who are 5+ years post-op still can't kneel. I'm almost 2 years post-op and it hasn't improved or gotten worse.
Just something to think about.
I'm sure you'll be fine.
