Thinking of going to daytona SX in 2011 - advice needed

Hi all,
Considering going to Daytona next year for the first time for SX round. Looking for some advice.
1) How does seating work? reserved? General admission
2) How early do you need get tickets to get good seats?
3) Lodging suggestions? Try to stay in Daytona? Stay out further?

Anything else I didn't mention that might be useful? Thanks! -Brian
