Excellent! That might work out perfectly. Trying to make the kiddo's day more fun by adjusting my riding schedule to match the ever changing schedule of his friends.
It is looking like I may get the weekend off. I just might show up on Saturday. I need to test my wrists and hands. They I seem to be showing signs of "go for it". I saw a doctor. No carpal tunnel but I was headed that direction and I still have some burning in my forearms and wrists. I cannot grip too well either so I have to test my "hang on" ability. Following JMD around on his new Gas Gas will test that out.
Randy, I did sell the YZ. I liked that bike, but I like the GG even more. Didn't see you out there yesterday, but Monk was there, and we had a great day. It was a little cold, and a bit slippery in the morning, but as it dried out it got nice and tacky. We put on 30 or 35 miles. My son Scott improved his mud skills and rode really well for a beginner. We should have built a fire, but we were just too lazy. We shivered around camp in between rides, so we didn't hang around too long. We rode up one gnarly hill on the west side that I barely paddled my way up, Charlie G. rode right up, and Monk managed to scramble up, on the bike, off the bike, whatever it took. Alan didn't want to try it, and Scott was sitting that ride out. That was a fun hill; can't wait to tackle it again.
That was my the best time I've had on a dirtbike yet.
The wickedly-evil front tire sucking sand on the east side was nice and damp, nearly perfect. The cold was kinda bad. I'm going to get some warm-weather gloves. I find it's a little easier to work the levers when you can actually feel your fingers.
I'm looking forward to going again! And I definately need to try that hill again.
I missed out again. I did not get home and to bed until after 5 am and then did not roll out of bed until noon Saturday. I am not going to spend many hours of riding doing that. I picked a good weekend to stay indoors with the cold weather though.
I will keep watching the NTSP forum for another opportunuty. I am still looking for a real job (where I can ride) but the pay has to be there too.
