I am really new at riding. I bought a pair of thor boots a few months ago. They were extremly stiff. I put some conditioner on them. Helped a little. I didn't wear them one day a few weeks ago and I rode so much better, felt so much more comfortable, just discusted me to ever where them again.

I really want some protection from twisting an ankle or getting my foot caught up in the spokes on a bail. I don't think my sneakers are gonna help that much. Any suggestions on a boot?

Good boots are always stiff at first but after their broken in are great, suck it up and break them in, try hiking around the house and things like this to break them in. :aj:

all warm & squishy

fill 'em full of really warm water. let 'em sit like that for a few minutes, then put 'em on and wear 'em around to do some outside chores for a couple of hours.

or go riding on a really wet & disgusting sloppy muddy day (or two) (or three). you know..., your typical pacific northwest fall/winter/spring riding day.
