Check to make sure the grip isn't shoved all the way up to the throttle housing,if you have handguards make sure it's not rubbing there and if you have an open ended throttle tube make sure you have some clearance on the inside of the grip.If all else fails check the cable inside the throttle housing.
its always a good Idea to take the throttle off for installing grips or if you do have bark busters just cut the end of the grip off before installing ...then you can clean up any thing that you see as a problem
