Trailering question

I would like to try hauling 3 bikes in my F-250 short bed and with the tailgate off haul one more on the reciever with a moto-x caddy or something. has anyone else done this. Also is it possible to pull a motorcycle trailer with your tailgate down? thanks for any info:think

The weight should be no problem. The tailgate down will depend on what type of hitch you have and what the tongue looks like on your trailer. If you have a reciever type hitch, you might be able to get a 2 or 3" drop if you run into any problems..
