ok guys, i need some help! i committed the cardinal sin - tore the motor (01 yz250fn) apart over a year ago and am just now putting it back together. im putting in some new trans bearings but am unsure of their orientation. the left side main and counter shaft bearings are sealed and shielded respectively. i think the sealed side faces away from the shaft. this would place the open balls away from the oil presure feed and towards the trans cavity. with this config the oil presure would push inward on the bearing seals (not the oil seals). is this right? ive checked the yam online parts finder and the image seems to support this setup, but it is far to vague to be certain. thanx for any info.

Based on the description in your post and my experience w/ a 426 and I'd say your hunch is correct. Seal faces outward...

Hope this helps.
