Quick question....I normally use HP 80w/88w synthetic oil that the Honda dealer has in stock. ( in my yz 250 ) I went over to the new Yamaha dealer today and bought some 80w 90 yamaha "shaft drive oil" thats whats on the label. Did they give me the right stuff for my crankcase? I know this sounds like a tarded question :blah:
The service rep tried to give me some Yamalube :bang:

No, do not put shaft drive oil in your transmission! The shop gave you the wrong stuff. If they do not have the Honda HP 80-85w (good stuff) then go buy a bottle of type F ATF fluid at the auto parts store or local department store, but do not put shaft drive fluid in your tranny.

Sigh......thats what i figured. Thanks for the info. The guy was a little lost on what oil to give me. Its mostly a 4 wheeler dealership anyways. The bike shop that I normally go to went up in flames three weeks ago.
