Im new to dirtbikes and i was wondering how the TTR 125L is, whats top speed on it im not lookin for anything fast just something to keep up to my friends xr 200 and something that wont get left behind my friends yz, and if theres any problems with suspension, handleing... and what are some good mods to put into it

height weight, etc plz, if you wanna keep wit a xr200, get a xr200, BEST learners bike out there IMO

I just sold my sons 02 TT-R125L it was a great bike to learn on and he has now gone to a KX 80 to race. I'm not sure how the TT-R would fair pace wise with the XR200 but I know for sure that you will eat YZ dust for a few seconds only after that he will be so far ahead of you the dust will have dissapated by the time you get there.

My son is 12, 5'-4" and 100#, he loves his TTR 125. It has enough power to get him through the woods at a decent pace, but it is not fast by any means. It is a fair amout shorter than a XR 200, and alot slower than a YZ. The suspension is OK for my son and trail riding... anything more and it would need updating. We need your age, height, weight etc for a correct recommendation.
