Recorded it and just finished watching it. RC looked good but McGrath looked better. The guy had some serious bad luck with gat draws (they pick from a hat for heat positions) and on track issues. Every time though he comes BLASTING through the pack! He is on fire and I feel pretty comfortable in predicting the #1 SX plate will be his once again for a nice round 8. Pastrana looked good but had a late in the race flashback to "old Travis" and ate some soil. Windham pumped up and got tired as usual but did seem a bit better than last year. LaRocco looked improved (except when he accidently took MC out). Overall it was a good fix until the real season hits.
I agree that MC looked good and also had some bad luck but I don't think he will beat RC. Can't wait for the SX season to start. For me that race was a teaser.
How about Darcy Lange. I have never even heard of this guy untill he shows up at the US open and makes a big impact IMO. I am very impressed.
I thought both RC and MC looked great, although RC looks to have stepped it up another notch. It looks to me like he has REALLY adapted well to his new rides handling.
MC looked to me like he was fighting the bike more than in the past-in particular he kept fighting off a kicker on a right hander after the tunnel. I'm sure he'll get the bike smoothed out.
It should be a fun season.
From what I saw MC stepped it up a notch. RC looked about the same, fast as usuall. MC had a 2 second a lap faster than RC's best. MC just got jacked on the starts. Which was the worst start strait ever!! I was there watching and Booing one of the two we are talking about.......HEHE:p
RC's Honda is setup just like his old Kawie! Don't kid your self if you think his bike is simular to any Honda you or I can buy!!
MC looked and was the fastest( Lap time ) at the US Open. But the season hasn't even started! RC is the one to beat!
IT"S GOING TO BE A GOOD SUPERCROSS SEASON!!!!! Those two are going to battle till the END!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
Darcy Lange is good ol' CANADIAN BOY who is going to make it big in a hurry, I raced with him in a few canadian arenacross' and he has no where to go but up. He is doing awesome in the Arenacross circuit in the US. He's a class-act, really good guy.
