v-force vs. rad valve

i run a rad valve on my 00 cr 125. i have seen here that the prefered reed is the v-force. was wondering if anyone has run both to compare the two. i am haveing eric do my cyl and cases and was looking into this issue. i have not discussed this with eric yet, i will, just wanted to hear some of the opinons of the masses. thanx, greg

I have never tried the rad valve but the stock reed cage on the cr is not performing too great. The v-force design allows for a better responce over a broad range but it is too expensive. Your rad valve will improve the bike for sure and it might as well be a good value for the money spent.

I have the V-force on my kx250 and really like it. The V-force made my bike more responsive and gave it better over rev. Also, topped with Eric gorr's porting it really rips. If you do get the v-force reeds, do some testing on the reed tensions. I really like the low tensions setting best. I got mine at Motorsportsoutlet 129.99 delivered in 3 days, great price and good service.

I don't think that the difference of performance between the v-force and rad valve will justify buying another aftermarket system again in the case of grsh. I'm sure that either cages make a difference over stock. Boyesen is known to do good testing before releasing a product. As to what I hear, it's only that v-force has come up with an edge in low-end response over the rad valve. Nothing worth 150$ You can also tune your reed cage to the power band you like. If you're after low end response, you can get lower tension reeds , at the expense of some reed longevity and some overrev.
