I am going to make my own vented plate number...and save some money off course...Any idea to cut off the plastic from my UFO plate number (I am thinking to cut a hole like Cycra model) ?
Dremel tool, jigsaw, razor blade - whatever works for you will do. After cutting, just file smooth and rivet in whatever material you choose to use. Any local hardware store or lumber yard should stock the material you can use for the venting portion of your plate. I considered doing one on my bike, but it is air cooled and opening the number plate up on my bike would just end up fanning my lower half.
Has anybody else tried lightening up their air tank by drilling holes in it?? I hate lugging that thing around and thought maybe the additional holes will help cut down on the total weight?? The cool thing about it is that now it doesn't require electricity to get air in the tank, however I'm having a hard time getting any psi back out of it. Any suggestions??
Look HERE for picture.
:uh:
Oh Yea,
Big Lou..... Your #plate looks like it came out very nice. Good Job!
If you had a full picture of that T-30 compressor, you'd see that one of the drains that I sell is attached to it. :)
Don't laugh, MX145...I've seen worse!
I'm sorry for the post, but just couldn't resist the opportunity........ It seems that some people get some pretty wild ideas that make you go hmm....... Then again alot of times that is how technology is developed - By those crazy ideas!! Big Lou's plate looks like it was done by a proffessional - Heck, why not we are all professionals at some thing. I just wish I knew what I was a Pro at ??
