i lost a good friend a couple of years ago to an alcohol related car accident. he was a great guy and an awesome dirt rider. even though it didn't work (i think it helped keep him around a couple additional years), i always used Ron Lechein as an example of what happens when you don't focus on life and let "partying" get the best of you. i sent an email explaining this to the Maxima oil sales dept. via email (ron's dad owns the company) and requested an autograph to help remember my friend. I gave up hope after a month, but I couldn't believe that after a month a signed photo of Ron came in the mail. I know dirt riders aren't supposed to get teary eyed, but after looking at the signed photo of my buddy's idol (he raced and rode as aggressive as Ron too), I just smiled and thought of the old days of riding with my buddy Craig!!! RIP buddy!
