Im looking into MMI for either their Yamaha Tech or Suzuki Tech program. My goal is to get on a race team. Im 20 years old and currently a HVAC engineering apprentice, but i dread getting up and knowing i have to go into work most days and have decided to change my career and do something i love to do. Has anyone else here taken these programs? Does anyone know what my chances are of actually getting on a race team?

Many of us are amatuer mechanics that had to get other jobs to fund our riding.

When my brother in law was 17 and told an aircraft mechanic that he wanted to be an aircraft mechanic so he could fly, he was told to become an engineer so he could afford to fly.

Slim to none but better than being the rider on a race team.

Sorry for being so pessimistic. If that is your dream, then go for it and more power to you!
