I'm just learning to ride in the dirt and don't even know where to go. Do you guys have any suggestions and directions. My 7 year old is learning with me on his XR50 and I'm on a RM 125.

Thank!!

Try http://www.nmaoffroad.org. It has riding areas listed on one of the links.

Capitol Forest, Tahuya and Jones Creek have some nice wide fairly easy trails for new riders and kids. The Reiter area and Walker Valley are more tight, technical trails as I remeber. Haven't been to either area for many years.

I think I would stay away from the mountanous areas such as Little Naches or Gifford Pinchot. Some of the trails are very steep, narrow and treacherous.
