Waylon Jennings passed away today.
One less Highwayman and one less living legend. :ugg:

Im one of them younguns, and I know who Waylon is. Its weird, most of my friends listen to rock/rap cause there parents listen to country, but im the other way. My parents listen to rock, so I started listening to country.

Dang. This is really hittin' me hard. Most anything I have of Waylon's is on 8-track. At least now he can finally play with Buddy Holly again.

I don't know what else to say. Gonna actually watch some Country music channels to see if they'll step up and do a tribute.

A sad day. :(

A sad day indeed. I'm a big fan of Waylon and the whole outlaw country sound. I heard the news when I was at work and when I got home the first thing I did was fire up "Momma's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys". It seemed fitting. Waylon will be missed.

Willie lives just down the road from me, I'm sure there will be some tears shed at his place tonight. :whiner: This is a real drag, just added to the crummy day I was having already.:ugg:

Dang XR you are ancient;)

I am quite sure I am one of the few Pakistani Waylon Jenning fans.

Waylon and Willie and the boys

"This successful life were living got us feuding like the Hatfields and Mc Coys"

"Baby its time we got back to the basics..."

There was a lot of truth in what he sang.

Lot of booze and some other stuff too! HE knew how to live!

I listen to that song at least 4 times a week. got it on my hardrive and on CD.

Sorry XR no 8 trax.

RIP Waylon, you will be missed and remembered. :(

There sure are a lot of TX and ID guys posting on this. Could it be that there are a lot of Rednecks in both states? :D

The guy was truly classic. Gotta love that duet w/ Willie Nelson. Among countless other #1 hits. :(

Bummer, he has some good music.

Oddly enough, my memory of him is watching him and Jesse Colter at a private showing in Sante Fe. About halfway or less through his gig he passed out from cocaine overdose and had to be carted out in the ambulance.

Still enjoy his music though.
