Definately go with the yz85. First its got good speed for you and can def. tackle anything the track throws at you. Second yamaha rules all and its a 2003.

Whatever you do DONT get a ttr125. You'll get bored with it fast. I would get the yz85. And the cr85 is to expensive for what it is. And the crf230 is really heavy.

Personally i like the CRF230 mainly because i dont ride tracks but alot of trails. The thing beeing is that the CRF230 weighs as much as a WR250F. If you trail ride buy a CRF230, if you race get a YZ85, or 80.

he said he's only 13 and not physically big, the 230 weighs 260lbs. with gas (wet) :yikes: . he'd be there a while picking it up when he drops it.

Well, i find that riding a heavier bike helps me to learn the basics. Then when you switch to a lighter bike it is fun. I also find that the 230 dosent feel like it weighs that much. Just my 2 cents.

You could go with a 100 2-stroke if it's comfortable. It will give you some grow in room, they're easy enough to ride.

I had to help someone get a CR150F up a hill once and he was a big kid, probably around 15 and 180 lbs.

What is the hole 150 thing. I have had to push up many bikes up hills befor. Dosent matter what you ride but how you ride it. Most riders will have that time where they need help to get thier bike up a hill. As i said befor the 230 dosent feel as heavy as it is. Kinda like riding a XR250 but better.

This CR80 looks better than the one you originally posted.

Not sure where you're located, or how anyhting works over there, I searched one of the site you listed and came up with this:

YZ85

And a KX100, probably a better bike for you, it's cheaper, but a little older.
