What kind of tranny oil in my rm250>?

This is a double post and i appologize for it but i need a response ASAP. I dont know how strict these boards are with that.

But anyway, I need to know what kind of tranny oil to run in my 1985 RM250. thanks much!

guys correct me if Im wrong but i thinking it should be 10w40 or (80 wt)

ATF type F has always done great for me in all my RM's and its cheap so you can change quite often

run 4 stroke bike tranny oil 10w40... car oil will work but you have a clutch that your lubing as well. just my tcw

yea, in the manual it says to use 10w40. i got the same bike as you bud.

Ohhh ok The main reason i thought i did sumthin dum was cuz it started spittin white foamy oil out the breather... but im thinking thats cuz of a water leak now? possibly?
