What muffler for my XR250?

Hi all,

I am wanting to get a new muffler for my XR250, and have got the choice down to either a FMF Power Core 4 or Pro Circuit T-4.

Power is the thing I am after....what one will make my bike more powerful? Or are they about the same?

Folks have told me it depends on what exactly you want. I ended up getting the white brothers e series. You can tune it with discs which it convienient when I want to quiet it down around the homestead. The power gains were significant, although I did lose a bit off the top end. Somethign that I'm sure a little jetting will fix. Best thing to do is find folks with XR's and different pipes, try 'em.

I highly recommend Thunder Alley pipes. I got one for my XR250 and I've never expeienced such a substantial power increase from an after market exhaust system. The web site is: www.thunder-alley.net
