First off, HRDROKN's hybrid is perfect, end to end. Congrat's again. I have heard, (truly gossip ? or is it all true on the internet? ) of a KDX engine swap into a 02 CRF450. Any body have evidence of this or other interesting swaps. My 92' 200 E4 is still in excellent shape but she's begging me for a new rolling chassis to call home. moto

I've got an H engine in an '04 KX.

I know there are KDX engines in CR 125 bikes. I can't say I've seen an KDX engine in an aluminum frame bike - yet.

Somewhat common to have 2 stroke engines in 4 stroke frames, but it takes more fab work than if you used a 2 stroke frame.

If you were going to put a KDX engine in a 4 stroke frame, I think it would be a better fit to use a 250 bike than a 450.

Aluminum frames are overrated anyway. Stick with a kx125 conversion. Easy to find, easy to do, and they are strong and light. If you're set on an ally frame, cr125 conversions work out pretty nicely. See some in the hybrid section at kdxrider, if you're interested.
