what silencer fits?

Looking at buying a silencer for my 1998 rm 250. I was wondering what the difference is between the years? I really want a pro circuit R304 for my bike, but it only says 99+ on the website. I was bidding on a 2003 silencer that looked like it was going to fit the bike, does anyone know the difference?

Ok well I found out the the 2000 Pro Circuit R304 will fit my bike. What's the performance difference between the R304 and factory 304 sound?

Probably not enough to notice.

Actually, the stock silencer is probably just fine for most peoples needs.

The R304 (shorty) silencer will give you quick bottom end throttle response, it's designed for tight tracks. It is also a little louder than the Factory sound. Both silencers should give you noticable difference, not to mention sounding nicer.
