Any word on what's going on at Paragon? Can we attempt to plan a spring ride there?

Rooster and I are definitely not up for Hatfield-McCoy - we have too many other vaca's planned already this spring/summer so we can't do it.

There is still a chance for the Spring ride at Paragon but it's not looking good for now. They are open for the weekends but it's really up to the courts for now as to how long they'll be open at their current location. Even if they have a new place by June it may not be ready to hold a ride at.

I think we should concentrate on either 8D or TC. The places I was looking into aren't working out. Jason, let us know about 8D and if there are member of TC and you can help make this work out, please chime in!

Where's 8D? What's it like?

And how much further from Paragon is TC?

Right no its hard to make plans for a Paragon ride, but there are things in the works. Paragon will have something to offer us soon, and there should be no problems planning our fall ride there when the time comes.

Any one ever riden here?
"There are some very good trails in and around Marienville PA. The Marienville ATV and Bike trails, Rocky Gap, Timberline, and Willow Creek. They are all about within an hour of each other and are located in the Allegheny National Forest. There is no cost to ride. Maps are available at nearby ranger stations. ATV's (quads) should have stickers. Marienville is north of I80 near Clarion PA. Hope this helps, I know it's a hike from Reading."
Free legal riding in Pa? whawa wha what? Im willing to take an expiditionary force over to check it out! We may need a few brave dual sporting men!

anyone think about greenridge in md, its like right next to paw paw wv, 18 mile loop of a trail, bottom half is rocky, top half is nice and pretty good but still not too easy and theres a cut through halfway so you can just do the top loop or just do the bottom loop http://www.atvaonline.com/Ride/Maryland.asp

Do they allow bikes? The website only talks about ATVs that must be registered.

I rode this for afew years but that was 10 years ago. Its about 45minutes north of me so i dont think you would get the Rhode Island bunch to make that trip. Back when i rode it you needed park sticker for dual sport bikes and nothing for dirtbikes. Not sure on the rules these days. Most of the trails were wide and made for quads. There is one bike loop that was rough is spots but nothing like paragon. IMO, unless its improved over the past 10 years its a waste of driving time and i'm only 45 minutes away. We could do it and try it out. I remember about 2 years ago of a group on Thumpertalk from Ohio that go there several times a year. Someone could search their site and findout more info on current conditions.

Does anyone know if Paragon is still open? And if it is when is it scheduled to close? Maybe we can get one more ride in.

Paragon is still opened on weekends only. there is no way of knowing how long they will remain opened, but even if they close, a new park is in the works.

Last year we did an April ride at Paragon and it was a blast. If they are still open at the current place, let's do it!

Not everyone can usually make it in April so we’ll still try to plan something for June.

We really should try to do a "last ride" at the current Paragon. Late April might have the best weather. Dan, is Paragon scheduled to be open that long?

Has anyone tried to give TC a call to see if they could give us a group thing like a reduced price per person for that weekend? The guys upthere are great and I'm sure they would talk to you about it. Also some of the guys up there could probably lead and take us on race trails etc. These guys are great and I'm sure they would give it a thought.

We've had younger ride with us but he may not be able to go on all of the trails. There is plenty of easy stuff for him to ride on until he gets comfortable enough and if someone else comes with kids they can all ride together. I'm not sure who else is bring kids though.
