I am considering replacing my stock muffler/spark arrestor with an aftermarket unit. I want a new unit primarily for performance purposes, but also to lower noise output. I'm interested in a performance increase 'across the board' as opposed to a big hit down low, or up high.

Where I ride (Northern Los Angeles and Mojave) law enforcement is pretty lenient about noise, so that is not my primary concern. However, I would like to get something quieter than the stock unit with the insert removed, just to prevent noise abuse.

My bike is stock, with the exception of the typical 'free mods' and a JD Jetting kit.

Thanks in advance!

I'll second the vote for the CRD Absolute Performance II unit. Excellent build quality, great design, very nice power spread and quiet.
