white/blue smoke

my 2003 drz 125 was blowing out white smoke so i let it sit for a day then next day it was a little blue smoke but then stopped so an hour later i started it up again and nothing

is my bike ok?

blue smoke is oil.

Check your transmission oil and make sure it is not low.


Did you lay the bike over before it started smoking?

no didnt lay it over but now the blue and white smoke is gone

I don't know about your particular bike, but some crankcases vent to the airbox. And sometimes a little oil gets up there and burns for a few seconds. Sometimes, a little oil goes through the valveguides as a bike sits and cools and burns for a few seconds next time you start it. If your bike still has enough oil in the crankcase and seems to still be running fine, without making strange noises, I probably wouldn't worry about it.
