Not only do Murray and Larson not listen, they do not care. I can't speak directly of Cantwell, I haven't met her yet.
The only good news in this, is that it is the same proposal as last year's. It still includes thousand of acres that do not qualify as Wilderness. The USFS has repeatedly told them this and they do not seem to care. Other members of Congress have been reluctant to support Wild Sky, in part because they are aware that in it's current form, will end up blowing a gob of tax dollars in court before all is said and done. If they fixed this, I fear it would easily pass.
