hi there. I need to replace or rebuild my rear shock/strut in my YZ250 but im thinking of just buying a used but rebuilt one already and just assembling it so it's ready to go and is going to work out a lot cheaper for me.
I have found a shock absorber assembly fully rebuilt and revalved however its for a 2007 YZ250 and mine is a 2004. I am just wondering if anyone knows if this would still fit??
The only difference i know of and can tell so far is the spring rate is 2mm higher(48mm instead of 46mm).
My local Yamaha dealership said they were not 100% sure but he said generally speaking they haven't changed much and any rear shock from 99 onwards to 2012 should still fit.
