I was wondering if a kx 100 will work for my friend for the time being since he has never road before and the bike is in his price range and is off my friend. He's like 5'9 and i dont know his weight but hes kinda small/medium. Anyways do yout hink it will work? Or just to small period? I would tell him to go for a 125 but since its cheap ass hell and comes with all the gear you think he should go for it or nah?

I'd think the 125 would be a better choice given his height, but the KX is only what - about 3 inches lower than a 125. It would probably be a nice bike for him to start on even though it would probably be a bit on the small side.

What year/price is the KX100?

If the price is right, id go for it.. Learn the basics of riding then sell and get a bigger bike.. What kind of riding he plan on mainly doing??

Off topic but.. I just went to Starbucks, had the local streetbikers there.. Im walking up and this girl is backing out her new GSXR600 and i notice she is on the tips of her toes.. As i pass, she drops the bike and popped her hip out of joint.. Bike height is important for newbies :blah: :blah:

thats a killer deal...even better if the gear is good and fits him.i wouldent start someone on a 125 becasue those machines are pretty powerful for someone just starting. a kx100 will be good for him to start out, and learn how to ride.

A 100 will have plenty of power to tote around an adult. But he'll sure have to learn to tickle the powerband.
