First off, we'll start with a little counseling session here. Mod or not, you need to watch your tone....there are more tactful ways to oppose a point, without revealing infinite naivete, making rediculous assumptions and spewing absolutely unfounded accusations.

Had you actually read my post, you'd have noticed I referred only to "prosecution" and never once, mentioned "lawsuit". As for the landowner rights and posting laws, I have to assume you are as inattentive to those, as you were to the post. The perp in question was well known for such actions and was eventually caught and imprisoned, when one of his cables beheaded a local 10 year old. Most of all, watch ANY negative accusations pertaining to freedom... :yell: ...I'm a veteran of the Panama, Desert Storm and Somalia conflicts.

kschilk, my tone is my tone if I am wearing a mod suit or not it doesn't matter my tone is the same and has always been the same. Perhaps it may have softened a little over the years on DRN come to think of it but the bottom line is I don't change for anybody and it is my opinion like it or not. Yes I am quite the inattentive slacker in regard to my work which might explain why I have been so successful at it for so many years  Of course like most of the other parts of this thread the bits of follow up in posts does help clarify things a bit. Keep in mind not everyone is a mind reader or has first hand knowledge of what you are referring to. While I appriciate your service, I don't see how playing the veteran card really pertains in this thread. :yikes:

You say "mod suit" but obviously, "underoos" would be more fitting. Try this...http://esl.about.com/od/teachingeng...hniques_Resources_Certificates_Employment.htm

maybe he's wearing his mod suit, but at least he's not wearing his a-hole suit. :|

It would appear you missed my designation as "Pantless Wonder". As far as the link I'm not sure I follow, wouldn't be the first time I was accused of spelling or grammar issues then again this link might suggest it doesn't matter http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/19980907140525data_trunc_sys.shtml as well as several other obscure and non-relavent factoids. Please feel free to really open up because my mod suit has allowed me to become quite familiar with the heated breath of those that disagree and frankly my dear I don't give a damn

That's funny stuff Joe.

dirtymotonut- I'm glad you are going to be okay. Scary stuff. Are there other access points, other than the steep hill? Like you said, having to have a fair amount of speed just to get up the hill didn't help. I assume incomplete visibility of the exit compounded it?

If you do a DRN search there are many threads regarding tools to carry, what to carry them in, etc. You'll find them very helpful.
http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/showthread.php?t=164788&highlight=tools+carry
http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/showthread.php?t=164530&highlight=tools+carry

and one on riding etiquette, which I believe is best summed up by 250girl's mom:
http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/showthread.php?t=161414&highlight=tools+carry

kschilk- Your points were understood. I went back and reread your post, and you did clearly say prosecuted. Funnily enough, in my mind the first time I read it, I heard "sue" as well. That may have been clouded by the response and because I unfortunately know first hand people who go for the litigious pound of flesh. Too close to the litigious society for comfort, I guess. I think dirtymotonut handled the situation very well by involving the proper authorities. Hopefully they will see the urgency of investigating as well.

Great suggestions all around, on carrying ribbon, removing dangers, etc. Thanks everyone.

One more thing.
Get well & ride safe dirtymotonut. As 89r said in another post, a bit of learning and head smarts will give you lots more riding time than letting your female overexuberance lead you in to trouble. .......Having said all that- keep having fun.

Thanks so much for putting the chat back on track! I did get a phone call from the Police this morning and they flagged the wire and are still investigating who put it up. It will be taken care of one way or another. I appreciate your help on the pack ideas for trails as pushing my bike when dead was no fun!
Yes there is other acess points to the hill and all are well ridden so last checked after the wreck there was one large one at the end still open. Yes visibility of the wire blended right into the landscape so this really made it hard to see from the bottom unless you were looking for it.
Bruises are a very ugly color now but are a great conversation piece everywhere I go as around here there is very few women dirt bike riders around my area so I get allot of respect from the guys here. They are shocked I did not give up dirt bike riding after my first bridge crash but old girls are tough! So This weekend it will be back to the track to bone up on my jumping and cornering. Man I love Dirt biking!!!!BYW any suggestions for a new dirt bike? I can handle a KTM550 quite well so a bigger bike is no problem. Thanks! :coocoo:
