Well my little guy , who is 5, decided today was the day to take the training wheels off the CRF 50 . He can't really touch the ground, so I was a little concerned, but he is going too fast for the training wheels and i was concerned about him tipping it over , so I agreed.

Once we got him on the bike, I told him that I would hang on to him for a l little while and...before I finished my sentence he cracked the throttle and took off ! I ran next to him as wel as I could but he was balancing so i ran alongside- he turned sharp right in a muddy patch in the yard and both wheels slid out - and down he went !

pretty much on top of me too. So I reached up to shut the bike upp ( I was laying on my side in the mud, bike on top of me and partially on top of my son)and as soon as I turned the bike off I heard him giggling in his helmet .....Got him up and back on the bike and he was laughing . I asked him if he was OK and he said he was fine, and then he says, now that I have fallen down, I got that out of the way and I don't have to worry about it anymore !

Fired the bike back up and off he went , and it was awesome- he was just riding great in a large oval , then he would turn around and ride the other direction. He rode for about 30 minutes straight.

I am so happy and also impressed by how well he is doing. he even came almost to a dead stop and took off again without taking his feet off the pegs ! If he grwows another inch or so I think he will be all set,.
Pics to come when they are developed - this is an awesome experience. :) :blah: :blah: :blah:
