Iam currently in the process of setting an XR 400 up for ice. I have done this with my 80s and my former CRF 250X, but with this bike I am just looking for a cheap reliable fun bike to run the oval with. I already have tires, but I need to come up with a way to lower the bike. I also wondered if any of you guys had general suggestions or some performance ideas that would be nifty. Although I am not too worried about performance, because I know that I am not a good enough rider to need more power.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You could always use a lowering link for the back, but I don't know what to use for the front.

That was a thought, or I may actually go inside the suspension and lower it right. Or I may not lower it because I'm not really fast enough for it to matter.

I was mainly interested in seeing what other people were using for their ice or flattrack set ups.
