XR 650R top speed.... what is it ?

I read an acticle about the top speed of the WR426. It said the bike was good to go from 3 mph to 103 mph.If thats the case, what will that BIG NASTY XR650R DO TOP SPEED ?

with stock gearing, and with the various factory plugs and baffles removed, the XR will do an honest 99 mph. The WR, with stock gearing, will not go that fast. The XR does get a bit squirrely at that speed :D

Johnny campbell's XR650 does 115mph all day long in baja.

My son rode one of Campbells bikes and it makes about 65-70hp ,does not use the stock gearing, but it is way fast.

We have a customer with a street legal '00 YZ426 and he reports with his best gearing combo (16/49) on the Pirelli MT21s he can get about 95 MPH

If I put tha t gearing on my XR you would have a hard time hanging on in the 110 mph wind blast :D

I open mine up now and then and it honestly goes faster than you can safely stop... and that does get scary.
