XR fork spring selection help needed

A few years ago, I bought some XR springs for a KDX I had at the time. Now a good friend wants to do the same. I had .42's in mine, and always thought .45's would be a bit better. Can anyone tell me the Honda part #'s for these, or what years XR they are availible for? The guy I spoke to @ service honda was less than helpful. Thanks in advance,

You can go to www.ronayers.com and look it up on their parts fiche. For OEM Honda XR400R fork springs, the earlier years are .38 and the later years are .40. Aftermarket springs are available in odd (Eibach) or even (everyone else) numbers.
