Xr200 Cam

I Have A 1994 Xr200r And Want To Put A Performance Cam In It. My Buddy Has An 85 Atc200x With A Cam In It . Will That Cam Interchange Into The Xr200? If Not Any Other Suggestions.

They should interchange but running a used cam in another engine is a really bad idea. The cam and the followers develop a wear pattern over time and swapping the cam to a new engine will cause wear problems.

I would also do a freshen up to highlight the effects of the came change. Valve job and better valve springs at the very least.
