Anyone use an XR650L for 2-up riding much? How is it? (Total weight of rider and passenger would be less than 300lbs in my case.)

It's uncomfortable....but manageable. I expect shorter skinny people would have it much better than me.

The worst was when I (6'3 240 lbs) took my brother (6'1 230 lbs) to the motorcycle shop to pick up his dual-sport. 20 miles of curvy highway and the interstate with that much weight was comical....but we didn't have any trouble going 60-70 mph.

A 100 lb passenger is pretty easy.

Thanks.

The 2-up would be mostly for short street trips anyway.

Dont try it at night, the extra sag in the rear shock ends up pointig the headlight up into the trees. Those bikes leave a dark spot right infront of the bike as is since the light is so high up and close to the long front fender.
